EVENT

KATOWICEBOOK FAIR

8-10 November 2024
The MCK International Congress Centre
Katowice, Poland

The History and Culture Foundation has been operating since 2004. We are known for historical publications; we organize the biggest national fair events, open-air shows and prestigious literary competitions; and we excel at promoting Polish and international literature in a way that appeals to publishers and readers alike.

Katowice Book Fair is an exceptional event which attracts wide audiences of culture lovers and industry actors. It is held in the second half of the year in Katowice – a modern Silesian agglomeration populated by over two million people and a symbol of Poland’s recent transition.

In Katowice city centre, on a site that used to be a coal mine, a unique area called the Culture Zone has been carefully designed and crafted to create a truly contemporary space. Its landmarks include the MCK International Congress Centre, a place brimming with post-industrial aesthetics, innovation and functionality, which serves as the venue of Katowice Book Fair.

The same venue hosts some of Europe’s largest economic and popular science events, i.e., the EEC European Economic Congress and the Silesian Science Festival, as well as a number of fairs, conferences and artistic events.
